Our Team

staff
Hello from the staff at Parkway Animal Hospital! Our team is committed to excellent service for the animals we see and the people who love them. We cannot wait to meet you and your pets, so get your "tail" in here!

Dr.-Lisa-White

Dr. Lisa White

“I wanted to be a veterinarian since I was a small child. It is both a joy and a privilege to care for the animals I see every day. I get to observe the spirit and personalities in each of the pets, and honor the bond they have with their families. It is sometimes a lot of hard work, but always rewarding and I wouldn’t trade anything for it.”

Dr. White lived in many places, including 5 states and 3 countries, before moving to Jackson in 1995. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania before pursuing her Doctorate at Ross University. Dr. White Is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association and the American Heartworm Society. She lives on a farm in Madison County with her dogs, Kenzie and Caiomhe; her Quarter horse, Chai; her miniature horse, Lily; and Tawny the cat. Nearly all of her pets were adopted from local rescue groups.

Tiffany, Veterinary Technician

“I chose veterinary medicine because I wanted to give back to something that has given so much to me throughout my life.”

Tiffany holds a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Murray State University in 2019. She is a Licensed Technician and certified to administer laser therapy. Tiffany loves to give some extra TLC to shy patients. Her pets include a dog, two cats, fish, and turtles.

Christina, Veterinary Technician

“I’ve always loved animals. When I learned I could have a career working with animals without becoming a doctor, I jumped at the chance.”

Christina earned a degree in Veterinary Technology at Volunteer State Community College in 2017. Since then, she has worked with cats, dogs, large animals, exotic pets, and even at-risk wildlife! Christina recently became certified in administering laser therapy. She has six cats at home (and one very popular fish).

Sydney, Veterinary Assistant

“I love being around animals and getting to be a part in nursing them back to help. My mom used to save every injured animal she found and I loved being her assistant.”

Sydney is a senior Zoology student at Union University. She is experienced in caring for pets of all kinds and farm animals, too. Her house back home is full of siblings and a menagerie of pets–dogs, a cat, birds, fish, a snake, a rabbit, a hamster, a ferret, and even three axolotls.

Mary

Mary, Client Care

“Working at Parkway Animal Hospital gives me the opportunity to combine my training with my love of animals to benefit all of us.”

Mary has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Lambuth College and is certified in Fear-Free veterinary care. She lives at home with her 3 cats and 3 horses.

Beth, Client Care

“Over the years, I have had the amazing opportunity to bond with so many fur babies and their owners. There is nothing better than to see the joy pets and their owners bring to one another.”

An experienced and caring client care representative, Beth makes sure our clients get the same gold-standard treatment our patients do. Her five rescued pets keep her on her toes–she has three dogs and two mischievous cats at home.

Rita, Office Manager

“I love doing everything I can to honor and strengthen the human-animal bond.”

Rita holds a bachelor’s degree in Writing as well as a certificate in Veterinary Assisting from Pima Medical Institute. She is also trained in Fear-Free handling techniques and administering laser therapy. As Office Manager, Rita helps out in every part of the clinic. She goes home to a rescued pitbull mix named Gaia and an elderly cat, Artemis.

bill

Bill, Facility Manager

Bill has been the “jack of all trades” at Parkway, combining his training in Engineering Technology with his love of animals. Here is a rare still moment with his Labrador, Belle.

Willa, Clinic Cat

“Mew.”

A client found Willa and her four kittens living feral in her neighborhood. She brought them in for us to examine, vaccinate, and spay. Willa had a taste of the good life here, and she decided that a warm kennel and two square meals a day suited her much better than life on the streets. She patrols the clinic at lunchtime hunting for treats.
